Summary


Adult learning covers the entire spectrum of what we learn after leaving initial education and training. This includes work- and career-oriented learning –obtaining new qualifications, up-skilling or re-skilling for employment – but also learning for personal development and active citizenship. Ensuring that Europe’s citizens keep developing their knowledge, skills and competence throughout their lives is vital for employment, competitiveness and innovation, especially considering demographic change and the challenges of globalisation. For these reasons, In this project we focus on adult learning to enhance the quality of European education as well certification and validation of their skills through an ECVET Modular system. A major concern is tackling unemployment and raising the rate of adult participation in learning, particularly of low-qualified adults and older citizens. Vocational education and training (VET) in a broad sense, including formal, non-formal and informal learning – in particular learning at the workplace – is a fundamental contribution to lifelong and lifewide learning of adults.



This project contribute the recognition of abilities of adult learners which were acquired outside the formal (national) vocational education and training system such as in other countries’ VET systems, on the job, during work or study periods abroad, within in-company training or learning taking place during leisure time becomes more and more important in the light of skill shortages and skill mismatches. This is especially important in transition periods such as when recruiting new personnel, looking for a new job, changing career paths or entering into further education. In this project, The recognition of prior learning of “event managers” enables employers to make use of candidates full set of abilities, applicants to present all their abilities and those seeking additional training to shorten study periods in order to achieve a new qualification.In this project we will enhance the access of adult participation in lifelong learning ‘enabling flexible access to training and qualifications’ to raise participation and to open access for all adults. them without barriers through Online Training Platform.


The ESVET project is a response to the needs of event managers who have low initial qualifications and encounter obstacles to the acceptance and certification of their professional experience. In order to improve the qualifications of workers in this sector, the project will draw up a European qualification standard for event management by describing managerial competences. It is intended to promote the recognition of learning outcomes for the event manager profile by developing a method of assessment using an ECVET and learning outcome-oriented approach. As a main product, the project will create and develop an assessment tool based on the CEMES methodology for the occupational field event manager. For this purpose, learning units are defined and action-oriented skills are described.     ESVET - Training Curriculum For Event Organiser Tecnhician



    ISQ, as the responsible partner of this IO, prepared the work plan so that partners had a guideline to develop the work necessary for this task. As a result of this output it was developed the Event Organiser Technician Profile, composed by the job description, activities and the Training Curriculum for Event Organiser Technician. A workshop on how to develop learning outcomes was held to all the partnership so that all partners were aware of the approach to be applied and that all the modules were developed in a harmonized and structured way.The Training Curriculum for Event Organiser Technician is composed by 10 modules, its titles and range have been decided by all the partnership. Each of the modules covered at least 10 different skills, knowledge and competencies and 10 action-oriented competence descriptions were done by all the partners.

    The process of developing the methodology within the ESVET project was divided into different phases: At first it was created the Competences Matrix for each one of the 10 Learning Units for the selected training modules in Event Organisation.


    Based on this matrix, the assessment methodology was developed having in consideration each one of the Learning Units in terms of Knowledge, Skills and Competences, aiming to assess in an objective and clear way the achievement of the expected learning achievements.


    The definition of the methods used for the identification, assessment and validation of non-formal and informal learning was developed in line with tasks to be performed and the specific expected learning achievements.

    Report on analysis of the European state of Event Management



    Report on analysis of the European state of Event Management is aiming to give an overview of existing situation of the Event Management in partner countries. A common template was developed by GLOBEST and partners collect their data and information based on this template. A common report was developed by GLOBEST in Engish. The methodology used for this report was: desk research and analysis of some major policy papers, reserach papers, online resources –for the Event Management. The report put together the results from 6 European countries, part of the project: Turkey, Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania, Germany and Greece.We also developed an academic article on Analysis of ECVET in Europe: Research on ESVET Project Partner Countries. It has already sent to Journal of Tourism, Heritage & Services Μarketing (https://www.education-master.gr/conference/publication-opportunities/).

    Description

    ESVET assesment platform based on IO2 and IO3 was updated. Assessment Platform consisting of two parts. A student can go through a certification process independently. The system generates the corresponding checks independently. Only with the final test for certification appropriate auditors are necessary.This competence structure is required to be able to create randomly validated but also manulally valid exams.IBS has implemented the structure of learning outcomes for the 10 modules in all languages of the partnership into the Platform. For each of the 10 modules at least 10 multiple-choice questions and 5 open questions have been created. The entire question pool on the ESVET CEMES platform includes 185 questions in 8 languages.This means that a total of 1480 questions must be implemented in the platform. At the end of the assesment if participants are succesfullly complete the tests they can get EQF certificate in level 5. The detail information can be seen at http://esvet.cemes.eu
